A volunteer driver program that served the residents of Amherst, Lyndeborough, Milford, Mont Vernon and Wilton for decades. Unfortunately, FISH closed its services in September 2020 in part due to the Coronavirus pandemic. .

Nashua Transit System (NTS) is the public transportation department of the City of Nashua and is committed to providing outstanding customer service.
NTS contracts with the towns of Merrimack and Hudson to provide some paratransit service on a space available basis. Click Here for a copy of the NTS Merrimack-Hudson brochure.
Service in the Souhegan Valley towns of Amherst, Brookline, Hollis and Milford is provided on a limited basis through the Souhegan Valley Rides program.

Greater Salem Caregivers - A Volunteer Program
Community Volunteer Transportation Company - serving 31 Towns across the Monadnock region (including Peterborough, Temple Greenville, Greenfield and New Ipswich). CVTC’s Volunteer Drivers provide “no-fee” transportation for people who do not have access to transportation because of age, ability, economic situation or other limiting circumstances. The Nashua Regional Planning Commission (NRPC) is a leader in innovative planning strategies that preserve and improve the quality of life in southern NH. Since its formation in 1959, NRPC has provided its 13 member communities with comprehensive solutions to local environmental, land use, transportation, and regional planning issues as well as cutting edge mapping and data services. In addition, NRPC functions as the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Nashua area. NRPC's 13 member communities are: Amherst, Brookline, Hollis, Hudson, Litchfield, Lyndeborough, Mason, Merrimack, Milford, Mont Vernon, Nashua, Pelham, and Wilton.
SHARE is a non-profit community organization that has served families in need for 40 years. SHARE is a safety net in the truest form. There is no place, no agency like it. SHARE is a central point of assistance supported by a loving, giving community that believes everyone deserves a helping hand when in need. SHARE provides emergency and ongoing support to individuals and families in need in Milford, Amherst, Brookline and Mont Vernon, New Hampshire. Assistance is provided in the form of food, clothing, emergency financial assistance and linkages to other area resources. The SHARE Center is a place where individuals with all sorts of needs come for assistance, referral, and sometimes, just a friendly ear. This center of service includes the offices and food pantry of SHARE, Milford Town Welfare, Southern NH Services Fuel and energy assistance office, and the local location for SJCS Meals on Wheels.

Neighbor-2-Neighbor Mont Vernon is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity established to assist families in need living in Mont Vernon. N2N assistance is funded by the people of Mont Vernon through generous contributions. 100% of all donations go to needy families in Mont Vernon.

Greater Milford Outreach (GMO) is an organization for anyone interested in exchanging ideas for better serving children and families in the greater Milford area. GMO seeks to create a network among area human services, schools, the court system, parents and community members. Monthly meetings provide opportunities for information exchange and presentations.
